The Fan
Here is my fan sweater from marianne Isager's Japanese Inspired Knits. I began this last month, and put it on hold for the move. Once we arrived in Berkeley I found myself uninterested in the sweater. But, once again (as with the Hex Coat) the Artfibers yarn proved me wrong.
I really like the construction of this garment. It's quite different from everything else I've made. I used my favorite Shetland shell edging instead of Isager's. I also used very different yarn, and as a result I spent quite a bit of time calculating so that I could end up with something that fit. It actually worked out!
The fabric is really beautiful. I used two Artfibers yarns. The Tsuki mohair/silk for the lace edging and the Golden Chai (color 23) 100% silk for the body. It drapes perfectly. Size 6 and 8 needles, respectively.
