My Denyse Schmidt Quilt

From her great quilt book, this is the Hop, Skip & A Jump quilt:






This is my first quilt, perhaps of many. I intended to hand-quilt this after I machine pieced it, but upon completing the quilt top I couldn't wait to see it finished, so it's 100% machine done. This is a perfect size for my first effort, and it took one long day plus one hour the next. I'm happy to add that the batting and muslin are both organic. Jo Ann actually had organic bamboo batting! Good for them. The fashion fabric is Amy Butler.
