Knitting in Iran

I just returned from two weeks in Iran. I decided to bring the lace scarf with me since it would not take up nearly as much room as Erin. We spent a lot of time on the bus going from beautiful city to beautiful city, and this provided me with plenty of knitting time. Here is my progress:

In Shiraz I purchased two meters of beautiful fabric for 16 USD!

I think I'll make a skirt.

It looks like you are almost done with the lace scarf, or is there a border to knit as well?
